Ingredients

For the cake:

  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • ½ cup butter softened
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 ¼ cups milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs

For the frosting:

  • ½ cup peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 4-5 tablespoons milk
  • Mini chocolate chips for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, brown sugar, peanut butter, softened butter, baking powder, baking soda, milk, vanilla extract, and eggs. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  • Pour the cake batter into a well-greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the cake to cool completely.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the peanut butter and honey for the frosting for about 20-30 seconds until softened. Stir until well blended.
  • Add the peanut butter mixture to the rest of the frosting ingredients (vanilla extract, powdered sugar, and milk) and mix until smooth.
