Cream Cheese Meltaways

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 – 8 oz pkg. fat free cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla flavoring
  • 2 c white lily plain flour
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 stick butter (room temperature)

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, granulated sugar, all-purpose flour, and vanilla extract if using. Mix the ingredients until a stiff dough forms.
  3. Roll the dough into balls and place them on a baking sheet. Use the bottom of a glass to flatten each ball.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until the cookies are golden brown.
  5. Optional: Customize the cookies by adding pecans, raisins, or chocolate chips to the dough.
  6. Allow the cookies to cool before serving.
  7. Note: Feel free to experiment with different extracts for varied flavors.
