RECIPE :
Cream Cheese Meltaways
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 – 8 oz pkg. fat free cream cheese (room temperature)
- 2 eggs
- 1 Tbsp vanilla flavoring
- 2 c white lily plain flour
- 1 c sugar
- 1 stick butter (room temperature)
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, granulated sugar, all-purpose flour, and vanilla extract if using. Mix the ingredients until a stiff dough forms.
- Roll the dough into balls and place them on a baking sheet. Use the bottom of a glass to flatten each ball.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until the cookies are golden brown.
- Optional: Customize the cookies by adding pecans, raisins, or chocolate chips to the dough.
- Allow the cookies to cool before serving.
- Note: Feel free to experiment with different extracts for varied flavors.
