Steak and Shrimp Teriyaki Noodles

“Steak and Shrimp Teriyaki Noodles is a mouthwatering fusion dish that brings together succulent steak, plump shrimp, and flavorful teriyaki sauce, all served over a bed of tender noodles.”

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 pound fresh or frozen medium shrimp in shells
  • 12 green onions
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 cups sugar snap pea pods, trimmed
  • 1 14.2 ounce pkg. cooked udon noodles*
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks
  • 3 tablespoons reduced-sodium teriyaki sauce
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • ¼ cup unsalted dry roasted peanuts

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Begin by thawing the shrimp if they are frozen. Peel and devein the shrimp, leaving the tails intact if desired. Rinse the shrimp and pat them dry. For garnish, finely chop 1 tablespoon of the dark green tops of the green onions. Cut the light green and white parts of the green onions into 2-inch pieces.
  2. In a wok or a 12-inch skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the ginger and cook and stir for about 30 seconds until it becomes aromatic.
  3. Add the pieces of green onion and split peas to the wok. Continue to cook and stir for 1 to 2 minutes until they start to soften.
  4. Introduce the shrimp, noodles, and pineapple to the wok. Cook and stir continuously until the shrimp turn opaque and everything is well combined.
  5. Pour in the teriyaki sauce and water, tossing the ingredients to coat them evenly with the sauce.
  6. To finish, sprinkle the dish with peanuts and garnish it with the chopped dark green tops of the green onions.
