RECIPE :
Roasted sweet potatoes
INGREDIENTS:
- 3 Sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into bite size cubes
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp of brown sugar (more if you want it sweeter)
- 1 tsp of ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp of ground nutmeg
- Pinch of ground ginger
- Sea salt, to taste
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Begin by preheating your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Then, take a small baking dish and coat it with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Next, peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into bite-sized cubes.
- Arrange these cubes in the prepared baking dish.In a separate microwave-safe container, melt the butter.
- Once melted, drizzle it over the sweet potatoes, followed by the olive oil, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and a pinch of salt.
- If you prefer a sweeter or spicier flavor, feel free to adjust the amount of brown sugar or cinnamon to your liking.
- Now, gently toss the sweet potatoes in the dish to ensure an even coating of the flavorful mixture.
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 60 minutes.
- Remember to stir the sweet potatoes once or twice during this time to ensure they roast evenly.
- Once they have a beautiful golden-brown hue and are fork-tender, your roasted sweet potatoes are ready to enjoy.
