- ¼ cup of flour.
- 1 lb of beef liver.
- ¼-½ cup of butter.
- ½ tsp of salt.
- ⅛ tsp of pepper.
- Oil.
- 1-2 tbsps of fresh minced sage.
- 2 cups of thinly sliced onions.
- ½ cup of beef stock.
- 1 tbsp of minced Italian parsley.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Step 1: Coat Liver
- In a bag, mix together the flour, salt, and pepper.
- Place the liver strips into the bag and shake it to coat the liver with the seasoned flour.
Step 2: Sauté Onions
- In a skillet, melt 2 to 3 tablespoons of butter along with a dash of oil over medium heat.
- Sauté the sliced onions in the skillet until they become tender and translucent.
Step 3: Season Onions
- Place the sautéed onions in a separate dish.
- Season the onions with sage, salt, and pepper.
Step 4: Sauté Liver
- In the same skillet, melt 3 to 4 tablespoons of butter along with a dash of oil over high heat.
