Ingredients
  

  • 3 eggs
  • 380 g 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 medium orange
  • 120 ml ½ cup milk
  • 120 ml ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 180 g 1 cup sugar
  • 16 g 3 ⅓ tbsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 80 g ½ cup chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Slice the unpeeled orange and blend it with eggs, milk, and vegetable oil using an immersion blender until smooth.
  • Once the mixture is smooth and free of orange chunks, add sugar, salt, flour, and baking powder.
  • Mix until a smooth batter forms.
  • Fold the chocolate chips into the batter until evenly distributed.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for a few minutes.
  • Then, transfer the cake to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Dust the cooled cake with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Ensure the orange is blended thoroughly to avoid any large chunks in the batter.
