Main ingredients

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (for coating) Stir the chocolate chips every 30 seconds to prevent burning while melting.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a medium bowl, mix together the peanut butter and powdered sugar until well combined and a dough-like consistency forms.
  • Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper. Press the peanut butter mixture into the bottom of the dish evenly.
  • Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
  • Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter layer and spread evenly with a spatula.
  • Refrigerate for about 1 hour or until the chocolate has set.
  • Once set, remove from the dish and cut into bars. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Store the bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They will stay fresh for about 1 week. You can also freeze them for longer storage, up to 2 months. Just make sure to wrap them well. You can add chopped nuts or rice crispy cereal to the peanut butter mixture for extra crunch. You could try using dark chocolate instead of regular chocolate chips for a richer flavor.
