Ingredients
  

  • 12 ounces angel hair pasta or capellini pasta
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh herbs e.g., basil, parsley, thyme, rosemary
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta slightly al dente according to package directions. Drain well.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter and heat olive oil. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  3. Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat with butter and garlic.
  4. Sprinkle pasta with herbs and grated Parmesan cheese. Toss again to combine.
  5. If pasta becomes too dry, add 1-2 tablespoons of reserved pasta water at a time until desired consistency is reached.
  6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
  7. Serve promptly for best results.

Notes

Use a variety of fresh herbs according to preference for added flavor.
Adjust the amount of garlic to suit personal taste.
Reserve pasta water to adjust sauce consistency if needed.
