Ingredients
  

  • 12 ounces angel hair pasta or capellini pasta
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh herbs e.g., basil, parsley, thyme, rosemary
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Cook pasta slightly al dente according to package directions. Drain well.
  • In a large skillet, melt butter and heat olive oil. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  • Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat with butter and garlic.
  • Sprinkle pasta with herbs and grated Parmesan cheese. Toss again to combine.
  • If pasta becomes too dry, add 1-2 tablespoons of reserved pasta water at a time until desired consistency is reached.
  • Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
  • Serve promptly for best results.

Notes

Use a variety of fresh herbs according to preference for added flavor.
Adjust the amount of garlic to suit personal taste.
Reserve pasta water to adjust sauce consistency if needed.
