CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER CRAZY CAKE
CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER CRAZY CAKE
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar or apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 5 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup water
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a greased 8-inch square baking pan, mix together the first 5 dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
- Make three depressions in the dry ingredients: two small ones and one larger one.
- Pour the vinegar into one small depression, the vanilla extract into the other small depression, and the vegetable oil into the larger depression.
- Pour the water over all the ingredients in the pan.
- Mix everything together until smooth and well combined.
- Bake the cake on the middle rack of the preheated oven for about 35 minutes. To check for doneness, insert a toothpick into the center of the cake – it should come out clean when the cake is done.
- Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool completely.
- Top the cooled cake with the Peanut Butter Frosting (recipe below) or your desired frosting. Enjoy!
