Method
 

Preparation and Cooking
  1. Preheat your oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Melt the butter in an oven-proof skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the sliced onion and cook until the edges start to brown, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and simmer until it bubbles and starts to thicken.
  6. Slowly stir in the grated parmesan cheese.
  7. Add the sliced zucchini and yellow squash, cooking for an additional 4-5 minutes.
  8. Sprinkle the smoked gouda on top.
  9. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese turns golden brown.
