Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 3 lbs Chuck Roast Ideal for slow cooking due to its marbling and tenderness.
  • 1 pkg Dry Italian Seasoning Mix
  • 1 pkg Dry Ranch Seasoning Mix
  • 1 pkg Dry Brown Gravy Mix
  • 1 cup Water
  • to taste Salt and Black Pepper For seasoning the roast.
Optional Vegetables
  • Baby Potatoes Optional, add around the roast.
  • Carrots Optional, add around the roast.
  • Onions Optional, add around the roast.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Generously season all sides of the chuck roast with salt and black pepper.
  2. Place the roast in your slow cooker.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the Italian seasoning, ranch seasoning, and brown gravy mix with the water. Whisk until everything is dissolved.
  4. Pour the mixture over the roast in the slow cooker.
  5. If adding vegetables, place them around the roast.
Cooking
  1. Cook on High for 4 hours or Low for 8 hours, basting the roast with the juices during cooking.
  2. Once done, ensure the meat is tender and the vegetables are softened. Slice or shred the roast and serve it with the gravy.
