Preparation
- Generously season all sides of the chuck roast with salt and black pepper.
- Place the roast in your slow cooker.
- In a small bowl, combine the Italian seasoning, ranch seasoning, and brown gravy mix with the water. Whisk until everything is dissolved.
- Pour the mixture over the roast in the slow cooker.
- If adding vegetables, place them around the roast.
Cooking
- Cook on High for 4 hours or Low for 8 hours, basting the roast with the juices during cooking.
- Once done, ensure the meat is tender and the vegetables are softened. Slice or shred the roast and serve it with the gravy.
