Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 3 lbs chuck roast The main protein
  • 1 packet dry Italian seasoning mix
  • 1 packet dry Ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 packet dry brown gravy mix
  • 1 cup water For mixing with the seasonings
  • to taste Salt & black pepper For seasoning the roast
Optional Additions
  • as desired baby potatoes For added heartiness
  • as desired carrots For added heartiness
  • as desired onions For added heartiness

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Rub salt and black pepper evenly over the 3-pound chuck roast.
  2. Place the seasoned roast in your slow cooker.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the dry Italian seasoning, Ranch seasoning, and brown gravy mix with 1 cup of water until you have a smooth mixture.
  4. Pour this flavorful concoction over the roast.
  5. If desired, tuck in some baby potatoes, carrots, or onion pieces around the meat for a complete meal.
Cooking
  1. Set your slow cooker to High for 4 hours or Low for 8 hours.
  2. For maximum tenderness, the longer, the better! Spoon the juices over the meat occasionally.
  3. Once the roast can be shredded with a fork easily, it’s ready.
Serving
  1. Serve the shredded roast with the delicious gravy you’ve created.
  2. Pair it with mashed potatoes, over rice, or on fresh greens.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days or freeze for up to three months. Reheat using stovetop or slow cooker to maintain moisture. Optional: Sear the roast before slow cooking for enhanced flavor.
