Ingredients

Cookie Dough

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup oil

Chocolate Frosting

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 6 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Blend the chocolate cake mix, eggs, and oil using an electric mixer until the mixture is uniformly combined.
  • Distribute the cookie dough using a medium scoop onto a cookie sheet, ensuring each scoop is spaced two inches apart.
  • Refrigerate the cookie sheet for 30 minutes to firm up the dough.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Bake the cookies for 8 minutes or until they are just set but still soft.
  • While cookies are baking, prepare the frosting by melting the sugar, butter, and milk in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil and let it boil for exactly 60 seconds, then remove from heat.
  • Add the chocolate chips to the hot mixture and stir until they are fully melted and the frosting is smooth.
