  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips You can use dark chocolate chips for added flavor.
  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves Consider toasting for deeper flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
  3. Sprinkle the chocolate chips and pecans evenly over the unbaked pie crust.
  4. Pour the syrup mixture over the chocolate chips and pecans, making sure they are covered.
