Preparation
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain the excess fat.
- Add the taco seasoning to the beef, following the package instructions to add water, and let simmer until thickened.
- Warm the nacho cheese sauce according to package instructions or prepare homemade cheese sauce.
Assembly
- Lay a tortilla flat on a clean surface. In the center, layer the seasoned beef, shredded cheddar cheese, and warmed nacho cheese sauce. Add sour cream, diced tomatoes, onions, and jalapeños.
- Fold the sides of the tortilla inward and roll it tightly from the bottom to enclose the filling.
Cooking
- For grilled burritos, place them seam-side down in a skillet over medium heat and grill for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and cheese melts.
- For baked burritos, preheat the oven to 175°C, place burritos on a baking tray, and bake for 10-15 minutes until heated through.
- Slice each burrito in half and serve with extra nacho cheese sauce, sour cream, or your favorite salsa.
