Ingredients
  

For the Marinade
  • 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 sprigs rosemary, minced
  • 2/3 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/3 teaspoon red pepper
For the Steak
  • 12 ounces steak Flank or sirloin cuts recommended.

Preparation
  1. Finely mince the garlic cloves and rosemary sprigs.
  2. In a bowl, combine the balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, brown sugar, and olive oil. Mix in the minced rosemary, garlic, and all the seasonings.
  3. Pour this marinade into a zip-lock bag, add the steak, and shake well to coat.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 6 hours to allow the flavors to meld beautifully.
Cooking
  1. Remove the steak from the marinade and pat it dry with paper towels.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook the steak until the exterior is crispy and the interior reaches your desired level of doneness.
