  • 2 lbs Potatoes Choose your favorite variety; russets or Yukon gold work well.
  • 1 medium Yellow Onion Adds a perfect sweetness.
  • 1 lbs Smoked Sausage Look for high-quality sausage for the best flavor.
  • 1 lbs Green Beans Fresh or frozen, these will add crunch and color.
Seasonings
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 cup Water or Broth Pour in enough to cover the bottom.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large skillet, melt a bit of oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.
  2. Transfer the sautéed onions to your slow cooker.
  3. Add cubed potatoes, sliced smoked sausage, and trimmed green beans on top of the onions.
  4. Sprinkle salt, pepper, and garlic powder evenly over the ingredients.
Cooking
  1. Pour in enough water or broth to cover the bottom, then cover the slow cooker.
  2. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until everything is tender.
Serving
  1. Once cooked, give it a gentle stir and serve warm in shallow bowls.

Notes
