Ingredients
Method
Preparation
- Gather and prep all your ingredients before you start cooking.
- Pat the steaks dry and season generously with salt and pepper.
Cooking Steaks
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Once shimmering, add the ribeye or filet mignon.
- Sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until your desired doneness is reached.
- In the last minute of cooking, toss in smashed garlic, thyme, and butter, basting your steaks for added flavor.
- Remove the steaks from the pan and let them rest.
Cooking Shrimp
- In the same pan, melt the additional butter and sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds.
- Add shrimp, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes until pink and cooked through.
- Finish with a squeeze of lemon juice.
Preparing Sides and Plating
- While your shrimp is cooking, prepare mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, and a fresh salad as side dishes.
- Arrange the steak, shrimp, and sides beautifully on a plate and serve immediately.
Notes
Feel free to substitute any of these ingredients based on your preferences. Rest your meat for juiciness and don't overcrowd the pan while searing.
