  • 1/4 cup butter, softened Should be at room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the softened butter with the chopped rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Rub the herb butter mixture all over the beef tenderloin.
Cooking
  1. Place the beef on a roasting rack in a baking dish.
  2. Roast in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches your desired doneness.
  3. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Serving
  1. Slice the beef into thick pieces and serve with roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad.
  2. Drizzle some of the leftover juices from the roasting dish over the meat for extra flavor.
