Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 450 g ground beef
  • 2 pieces bell peppers, chopped
  • 1 piece onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 425 g canned low sodium beef broth
  • 425 g canned diced tomatoes
  • 180 g uncooked long grain white rice
  • 75 g shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 75 g shredded cheddar cheese

Method

Cooking Steps
  1. Begin by heating a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the ground beef. Use a spatula to break it up as it cooks, allowing it to brown mostly.
  2. Next, toss in the chopped onions and bell peppers. Sauté for about 5 to 10 minutes until they soften and become aromatic.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and allow it to cook for another 1 to 2 minutes, filling your kitchen with a wonderful aroma.
  4. Add Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, beef broth, diced tomatoes, and uncooked rice into the skillet. Stir everything thoroughly to combine the flavors.
  5. Increase the heat to bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, cover the skillet, reduce the heat to a simmer, and let cook for 20 minutes. Make sure to stir once halfway through cooking to prevent sticking.
  6. After 20 minutes, remove the lid and stir half of the shredded mozzarella and cheddar into the mixture until melted.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top, cover, and let it melt. If your pan is oven-proof, you can place it under the grill for a quicker melt.
  8. Finally, serve immediately and enjoy your delicious creation!
