Preparation
- In a bowl, combine the roughly chopped strawberries and granulated sugar. Allow them to sit for about 15 minutes to release their juices.
Make the Mascarpone Layer
- In another large bowl, whisk the mascarpone cheese and heavy whipping cream together until smooth. Then add the vanilla extract and sifted powdered sugar, mixing until fluffy.
- Gently fold in the vanilla instant pudding into the mascarpone mixture.
Assemble the Dessert
- In a baking dish, lay half of the ladyfingers. Soak them gently in the strawberry juice before spreading half of the mascarpone mixture over them.
- Layer half of the strawberry pie filling. Repeat the layers, finishing with the remaining mascarpone mixture on top.
Chill
- Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
