Ingredients
  

Fruits and Vegetables

  • 1 cup diced fresh strawberries Use fresh strawberries for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup diced fresh pineapple Fresh is preferable, but crushed pineapple can be used for a juicier salsa.
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 1 small jalapeño, finely diced Remove seeds for milder heat.

Herbs and Seasoning

  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro This can be swapped with mint for a different taste.
  • 1 lime Juice of 1 lime
  • Salt to taste Adjust according to preference.

Preparation

  • Dice strawberries and pineapple into small, even pieces.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine strawberries, pineapple, red onion, jalapeño, and cilantro.
  • Squeeze lime juice over the mixture and season lightly with salt.

Serving

  • Let sit for 10–15 minutes to let flavors meld.
  • Serve chilled with chips or over grilled chicken or fish.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh. Store leftover salsa in an airtight container in the refrigerator and consume within 2-3 days. Always stir well before serving again as ingredients may separate.
