Steak Ingredients
  • 2 boneless beef steaks (ribeye or sirloin)
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil For cooking the steaks
  • 2 tbsp butter For the sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced For the sauce
Sauce Ingredients
  • 1 cup heavy cream For the sauce
  • 1/2 cup beef broth For the sauce
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard For flavoring the sauce
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese For flavoring the sauce
  • to taste Fresh parsley, chopped For garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Season the steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the steaks and cook to your desired doneness, about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove from skillet and let rest.
Sauce Preparation
  1. In the same skillet, lower the heat and add butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  2. Stir in the heavy cream, beef broth, and Dijon mustard. Bring to a simmer and let it thicken slightly.
  3. Reduce heat and stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
Serving
  1. Serve the steaks with the garlic cream sauce drizzled on top and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

Use a meat thermometer to check the doneness of the steak. 130°F is medium-rare, 140°F is medium. Let the steak rest for a few minutes after cooking. You can add mushrooms to the sauce for extra flavor.
