Ingredients
  

For the Cookies
  • 1 batch Brown Butter and Maple Chewy Pumpkin Cookies (from Butternut Bakery)
For Decorating
  • 1 cup white chocolate (gerardelli melting wafers recommended) For melting to create ghost shapes.
  • 1 cup black candy melts For adding faces to the cookies.
  • 1 unit piping bag or ziplock bag For piping melted chocolate.
  • 1 unit medium cookie scoop For portioning cookie dough.
  • 2 units light-colored baking pans To promote even baking.

Method
 

Baking the Cookies
  1. Follow your pumpkin cookie recipe and bake until golden brown. Ensure they’re fully cooled before decorating!
Melting the White Chocolate
  1. In a microwave-safe container, melt your white chocolate until smooth.
Creating Ghost Shapes
  1. Place a small dollop of melted chocolate atop a cooled cookie.
  2. Using the back of a small spoon, apply light pressure and slowly drag downwards to form a ghostly figure. Practice on parchment paper to perfect your technique!
  3. Allow the white chocolate to set completely.
Adding Faces
  1. Melt the black candy melts in a microwave-safe container. Transfer them to a piping bag.
  2. Pipe tiny dots for the eyes and mouth onto your ghostly cookies.
  3. Allow the candy melts to dry before serving.
