  • 1.5 lbs 3-4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 oz spaghetti Cook until al dente
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese Divided
  • 1 cup fresh bell peppers (chopped)
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz) Can be substituted with homemade béchamel
Spices
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper Adjust for heat preference
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
Garnish
  • 1/4 cup green onions (sliced) For garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a large casserole dish.
  2. In a large pot, cook the chicken over medium heat for about 6-7 minutes per side or until golden brown and completely cooked.
  3. While chicken cooks, bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook spaghetti until al dente (about 8-10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, cooked spaghetti, cream of chicken soup, chopped bell peppers, spices, and half of the cheddar cheese. Stir until mixed.
Baking
  1. Transfer the mixture to the greased casserole dish and sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
  2. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and the top is golden brown.
  3. Allow it to rest for 5 minutes, then garnish with sliced green onions before serving.

Notes
