  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 packet gravy mix (chicken flavor)
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Preparation

  • Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker. Season with salt and pepper.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the chicken broth, gravy mix, and cream of chicken soup until smooth.
  • Pour the gravy mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.

Cooking

  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is cooked through and can be easily shredded.
  • Once done, shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker and mix with the gravy.

Serving

  • Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or bread. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

Make sure the chicken breasts are arranged in a single layer in the slow cooker for even cooking. Stir the gravy a bit after shredding the chicken to mix it nicely. For a thicker gravy, cook uncovered for the last hour.
