  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 packet gravy mix (chicken flavor)
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the chicken broth, gravy mix, and cream of chicken soup until smooth.
  3. Pour the gravy mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is cooked through and can be easily shredded.
  2. Once done, shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker and mix with the gravy.
Serving
  1. Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or bread. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

Make sure the chicken breasts are arranged in a single layer in the slow cooker for even cooking. Stir the gravy a bit after shredding the chicken to mix it nicely. For a thicker gravy, cook uncovered for the last hour.
