Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of warm water, sugar, and yeast. Allow it to bloom for about 10 minutes, until frothy.
- Gradually mix in the flour, adding small amounts to avoid clumping.
- Then, add the salt and avocado oil. Mix vigorously for at least five minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic. If the dough feels too dry, incorporate the additional tablespoon of water.
- Prepare your slow cooker by lining the bowl with parchment paper or a liner.
- Place the dough in the center, cover with a clean tea towel, and set the lid on top.
Cooking
- Cook on low for 1.5 to 2 hours. After cooking, remove the lid and the towel, letting the bread sit briefly while off.
- Using the parchment, lift the bread from the cooker and allow it to cool completely before slicing.
