  • 1.5 lbs high-end steak, sliced thin Tender cuts work best
  • 1 Cup Beef Broth
  • 0.5 Cup Soy Sauce or tamari for gluten-free
  • 0.25 Cup Oyster Sauce Ensure it's gluten-free if needed
  • 4 Tablespoons Cornstarch For thickening the sauce
  • 1 Small Onion, diced
  • 0.25 Cup Brown Sugar Can adjust to taste
  • 1.5 Tablespoons Sesame Oil
  • 2 Cloves Garlic, minced
  • 3 Cups Broccoli Florets Can substitute with other vegetables
  • 3 Tablespoons Water

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, whisk together the sesame oil, beef broth, soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, and minced garlic and diced onions until well combined.
  2. Pour this mixture into your slow cooker.
  3. Add the thinly sliced steak and stir to ensure all the meat is coated in the sauce.
  4. Cover the crockpot and cook on LOW for 4 to 5 hours or on HIGH for 2.5 hours.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the water and cornstarch until smooth, then pour this mixture into the slow cooker, stirring well.
  6. Finally, add the broccoli florets on top of the steak and sauce and mix gently.
  7. Cover and cook for an additional 30 minutes to thicken the sauce and steam the broccoli.
  8. Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or enjoy it on its own.

Notes
