Ingredients
  

For the syrup
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup golden syrup
  • 50 g butter Unsalted butter recommended
  • 2 cups water
For the dumplings
  • 1 1/2 cups self-raising flour
  • 1/2 cup lemonade
  • 1/2 cup cream Heavy cream recommended

Preparation
  1. Combine the syrup ingredients: brown sugar, golden syrup, butter, and water in a saucepan. Bring this mixture to a boil.
  2. Carefully pour the syrup into the slow cooker.
  3. In a separate bowl, gently combine the dumpling ingredients: self-raising flour, lemonade, and cream. Mix until just combined.
  4. Roll the dough into balls and drop them into the syrup in the slow cooker.
Cooking
  1. Cover the slow cooker and cook on high for 60-90 minutes.
Serving
  1. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of cream.
