Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 2 cups uncooked pasta (like elbow or rotini)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

Instructions

Cooking

  • Brown the beef with the onion and garlic in a large skillet. Drain excess fat.
  • Add the broth, milk, and pasta. Stir and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 10–12 minutes until the pasta is tender.
  • Stir in the ketchup, mustard, and cheese until melted and creamy.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Serve hot.

Notes

For a bit of heat, add some chopped jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce. Use whole wheat or gluten-free pasta for a healthier option. Feel free to add other toppings like crushed potato chips or bacon pieces for extra crunch. You can also customize this dish by swapping the ground beef for ground turkey or sausage.
