Ingredients
  

Seafood and Pasta
  • 8 ounces cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined, cut into about 3 pieces (save some whole for garnish) Optional: use pre-cooked shrimp to save time.
  • 1 cup imitation crab, shredded or chopped into small pieces
  • 1.5 cups ditalini pasta, cooked al dente and cooled You can substitute another pasta shape if desired.
Dressing and Seasoning
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet relish
  • ½ teaspoon dried dill weed
  • to taste salt and pepper Adjust seasoning as needed.
  • 1 cup corn (optional) For added sweetness and texture.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine the chopped shrimp, imitation crab, mayonnaise, and sweet relish. Stir until the seafood is evenly coated.
  2. Add the cooled pasta and corn, if using, and gently fold everything together until well mixed.
  3. Season with salt, pepper, and dried dill weed to taste. Adjust seasoning as needed.
  4. Cover and refrigerate the salad for at least 1 hour, preferably 4–6 hours, to allow the flavors to develop.
  5. Just before serving, garnish with the reserved whole shrimp for a fancy touch.
