  • 1 can cream of potato soup
  • 1 pack bacon, chopped
  • to taste Shredded cheese
  • Seasonings of your choice (e.g., salt, pepper, garlic powder)

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef with the chopped onion and your chosen seasonings until the meat is fully cooked. Drain off any extra fat.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked ground beef and onion with the can of cream of potato soup. Mix everything together well.
  4. Take a 13x9 inch baking pan and place the uncooked scalloped potatoes in an even layer at the bottom.
  5. Prepare the sauce mix that comes with the scalloped potatoes according to the package directions.
  6. Spread the hamburger and cream of potato mixture evenly over the layer of uncooked scalloped potatoes in the baking pan.
  7. Pour the sauce mixture over everything in the pan evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake uncovered in the oven for 25 minutes.
  2. While the casserole is baking, cook the chopped bacon in a skillet until crispy. Set the bacon aside to cool.
  3. After 25 minutes, take the pan out of the oven. Top the casserole with crispy bacon pieces and as much shredded cheese as you like.
  4. Put the pan back in the oven for another 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  5. Remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
