Ingredients
  

Puff Pastry Layers
  • 1 package Puff pastry Ensure it's chilled before baking.
  • 250 g ricotta cheese
  • to taste pinch flaky sea salt For sprinkling on puff pastry.
  • 6 slices prosciutto Can be substituted with other cured meats.
  • 1 tbl lemon zest Add flavor to the ricotta mixture.
  • 60 ml heavy cream For whipping with the ricotta.
  • to taste pinch black pepper For the ricotta mixture.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven according to the puff pastry package instructions.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into rectangles.
  3. Place the pastry on a baking sheet and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
  4. Bake until golden and puffed, about 15-20 minutes.
  5. In a bowl, whip the ricotta cheese with lemon zest, heavy cream, and a pinch of black pepper until creamy.
Assembly
  1. Once the pastry layers are baked and cooled, assemble by layering puff pastry, whipped lemon-ricotta, and prosciutto.
  2. Finish with another layer of puff pastry on top.
  3. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes
