Ingredients
  

For the Puff Pastry Layers
  • 1 package Puff pastry Ensure it's chilled before use.
  • 1 teaspoon Flaky sea salt For sprinkling on the pastry before baking.
For the Whipped Lemon-Ricotta Filling
  • 250 g Ricotta cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon zest Add more for a stronger lemon flavor.
  • 60 ml Heavy cream For a creamy texture.
  • 1 pinch Black pepper To taste.
For Assembly
  • 100 g Prosciutto Can substitute with other cured meats.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven according to the puff pastry package instructions.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into rectangles.
  3. Place the pastry on a baking sheet and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
Baking
  1. Bake until golden and puffed, about 15-20 minutes.
Filling Preparation
  1. In a bowl, whip the ricotta cheese with lemon zest, heavy cream, and a pinch of black pepper until creamy.
Assembly
  1. Once the pastry layers are baked and cooled, assemble by layering puff pastry, whipped lemon-ricotta, and prosciutto.
  2. Finish with another layer of puff pastry on top.
  3. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes
