  • 150 g fresh goat cheese Ensure the goat cheese is at room temperature for easy blending.
  • 200 ml heavy cream
  • to taste salt and pepper Season according to preference.

For Serving

  • 1 jar fig chili jam Top the brûlée before serving.
  • sugar for caramelizing Use granulated sugar for best results.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 150°C (300°F).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the goat cheese and heavy cream until smooth.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Pour the mixture into ramekins.
  • Place ramekins in a baking dish and fill the dish with hot water until it reaches halfway up the sides of the ramekins.

Baking

  • Bake for 30-35 minutes until just set.
  • Let cool and refrigerate for a few hours.

Serving

  • Before serving, top with a spoonful of fig chili jam and sprinkle sugar on top.
  • Use a culinary torch to caramelize the sugar until golden brown.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Keep the caramelized sugar separate to maintain its crunchy texture. Reheat gently before serving and re-torch the sugar topping.
