  • 150 g fresh goat cheese Ensure the goat cheese is at room temperature for easy blending.
  • 200 ml heavy cream
  • to taste salt and pepper Season according to preference.
For Serving
  • 1 jar fig chili jam Top the brûlée before serving.
  • sugar for caramelizing Use granulated sugar for best results.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 150°C (300°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the goat cheese and heavy cream until smooth.
  3. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Pour the mixture into ramekins.
  5. Place ramekins in a baking dish and fill the dish with hot water until it reaches halfway up the sides of the ramekins.
Baking
  1. Bake for 30-35 minutes until just set.
  2. Let cool and refrigerate for a few hours.
Serving
  1. Before serving, top with a spoonful of fig chili jam and sprinkle sugar on top.
  2. Use a culinary torch to caramelize the sugar until golden brown.
  3. Serve immediately.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Keep the caramelized sugar separate to maintain its crunchy texture. Reheat gently before serving and re-torch the sugar topping.
