Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 2 cups Cooked rice You can use white or brown rice.
  • 1 can Canned diced tomatoes About 14.5 oz can.
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped
  • 1 small head Cabbage, sliced Approximately 4 cups when sliced.

Seasonings

  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by browning the ground beef in a pan over medium heat. Make sure to break it up into small pieces as it cooks.
  • Once the beef is browned, add in the cooked rice, sliced cabbage, diced tomatoes, paprika, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir everything well to combine.
  • Transfer the mixture into an oven-safe dish, spreading it evenly.
  • Cover the dish with a lid or aluminum foil.

Baking

  • Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 30 to 40 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender and the flavors have melded beautifully.
  • Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, then serve.

Notes

Let any leftovers cool completely before storing. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Can be frozen for longer storage. For extra flavor, consider adding herbs like oregano or thyme. Can substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
