Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the sausage, baking mix, shredded cheddar, egg, milk, onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix until evenly combined.
- Scoop and roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared sheet about 1 inch apart.
Baking
- Bake for 15–20 minutes, rotating the pan once, until golden brown and an instant-read thermometer reads at least 160°F (71°C) in the center.
- Let cool for 5 minutes on the pan before transferring to a wire rack or serving platter.

Notes
These sausage balls are freezer-friendly and can be made ahead. For a lighter version, replace half the baking mix with fine breadcrumbs.
