Preparation
- In a small saucepan or microwave, melt the 2 tablespoons of butter and let it cool slightly before mixing.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and salt until evenly combined.
- Start adding the water, one tablespoon at a time, mixing well after each addition to form a smooth, non-sticky dough.
Rolling and Scoring
- On a floured surface, roll out the dough until it’s about 1/8 inch thick.
- Score the dough into squares with a pizza cutter and lightly brush the tops with additional melted butter. Sprinkle with salt, if desired.
Baking
- Preheat your oven to 400°F and bake the crackers for about 15 minutes, keeping an eye on them until golden brown.
- Let them cool completely, as they will harden further.
