Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup Flour Can substitute with whole wheat flour for a nuttier flavor.
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Butter Plus extra for topping. Can use a dairy-free alternative.
  • 6 tbsp Water Add gradually until a smooth dough is formed.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a small saucepan or microwave, melt the 2 tablespoons of butter and let it cool slightly before mixing.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and salt until evenly combined.
  3. Start adding the water, one tablespoon at a time, mixing well after each addition to form a smooth, non-sticky dough.
Rolling and Scoring
  1. On a floured surface, roll out the dough until it’s about 1/8 inch thick.
  2. Score the dough into squares with a pizza cutter and lightly brush the tops with additional melted butter. Sprinkle with salt, if desired.
Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F and bake the crackers for about 15 minutes, keeping an eye on them until golden brown.
  2. Let them cool completely, as they will harden further.
