Ingredients
  

  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup (182 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the sweetened condensed milk and chocolate chips. Heat the mixture, stirring frequently, until smooth and the chocolate chips are completely melted.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat. Add the unsalted butter, vanilla extract, and kosher salt to the melted chocolate mixture, stirring until the butter is fully melted and all ingredients are well combined.
  • Serve the hot fudge sauce warm over your favorite desserts.
  • Alternatively, allow the fudge sauce to cool completely before transferring it to a sealed jar. Store the cooled fudge sauce in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

This hot fudge sauce can be reheated gently in the microwave or on the stovetop if it becomes too thick after refrigeration.
