- Place the chicken breasts in a single layer in the bottom of a slow cooker.
- Sprinkle with taco seasoning and top with salsa.
- Cover with the lid and cook for 2-2 1/2 hours on high or 4-5 hours on low or until the chicken is easily shredded with two forks.
- Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
Notes
This dish is incredibly versatile. Serve the shredded chicken in tacos, burritos, salads, or as a topping for rice or quinoa. Adjust the level of spiciness by using mild, medium, or hot salsa.
