Ingredients

  • 1 lb smoked salmon, skin removed and flaked
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup finely minced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
For Dill Mayonnaise:
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 1 clove garlic, finely minced

Equipment

  • Large Bowl
  • Skillet
  • Small Bowl

Method

  1. In a large bowl, combine the smoked salmon, panko breadcrumbs, minced onion, minced garlic, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, eggs, chopped fresh dill, black pepper, and grated Parmesan cheese. Mix well until thoroughly combined. Shape the mixture into small patties using your hands.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the skillet is hot, add the salmon patties and cook until golden brown on both sides, which usually takes about 2-3 minutes per side.
  3. While the patties are cooking, prepare the dill mayonnaise. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, lemon juice, dried dill weed, and finely minced garlic until well combined.
  4. Once the salmon patties are cooked through and golden brown, remove them from the skillet and serve them warm with the prepared dill mayonnaise on the side for dipping.
