Preparation
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the trimmed green beans with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Toss well to coat the beans evenly.
- Add minced garlic and optional red pepper flakes, and toss again.
- Spread the green beans on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
Roasting
- Roast in the oven for 15 minutes.
- Remove the baking sheet and sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the green beans.
- Return to the oven and roast for an additional 5-10 minutes until cheese is melted and slightly golden, and green beans are tender-crisp.
- Let cool slightly, then serve warm. Optionally, add lemon wedges for an extra zing.

Notes
