Ingredients

For the Churro Bites
  • 1 package Ritz crackers (regular round crackers)
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter (melted) Salted butter can be used for balance, but unsalted is preferable for control over seasoning.
  • 3/4 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Ground cinnamon Adjust to taste.
  • 1 cup Chocolate for dipping (semisweet, milk, or dark, chopped or chips)

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment or a silicone mat.
  2. Melt the butter in a shallow bowl until fully liquid.
  3. In another shallow bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon until evenly mixed.
Coating and Baking
  1. Working one at a time, dip a Ritz cracker into the melted butter, shaking off any excess drips.
  2. Drop the butter-coated cracker into the cinnamon-sugar, gently pressing or tossing to coat both sides evenly.
  3. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
  4. Bake for 5–7 minutes, keeping a close watch to achieve a golden edge without burning.
Serving
  1. Remove from the oven and let crackers cool on the sheet for a few minutes so the coating sets.
  2. Serve warm or at room temperature with melted chocolate for dipping.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. Re-crisp in a 300°F (150°C) oven for 3–5 minutes if needed. For a lower-sugar option, use a mix of sugar and a non-nutritive sweetener. To make vegan, swap in plant-based butter and dairy-free chocolate.
