Preparation
- Soak the mixed fruit in the orange and apple juice along with the brandy for 24 hours.
- After soaking, stir in the self-raising flour until it’s well mixed.
- Place the mixture into a loose-bottomed cake tin.
Cooking
- Put the cake tin inside a slow cooker and fill it with water until it reaches halfway up the cake tin.
- Cook on low for 8 hours.
- To keep the cake moist, place a tea towel over the top of the slow cooker before putting on the lid.
Cooling
- Once done, cool the cake for a bit before turning it out of the tin.

Notes
