  • 1 box red velvet cake mix Use a store-bought mix or homemade if preferred.
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Frosting and Assembly
  • 1 can cream cheese frosting Ensure frosting is at room temperature for easier mixing.
  • 12 pieces heart-shaped cake pop sticks

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the red velvet cake mix as per package instructions, mixing in water, vegetable oil, and eggs.
  3. Pour the batter into a 9x13 inch pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Once baked, allow the cake to cool completely.
  5. Crumble the cooled cake into a large bowl.
  6. Mix in the cream cheese frosting until you achieve a well-combined mixture.
  7. Shape the mixture into heart-shaped balls while inserting a cake pop stick in each.
  8. Refrigerate the cake pops for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes
