  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 10.5 oz can cream of chicken soup
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 0.5 cup sour cream Can substitute with Greek yogurt
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • to taste Fresh parsley, chopped For garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sear the chicken breasts until golden on both sides, about 2 to 3 minutes per side.
  2. Remove the chicken from the pan.
  3. In the crockpot, combine cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning mix, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Stir until well blended.
  4. Nestle the seared chicken breasts in the crockpot, ensuring they're coated with the sauce mixture.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
  6. Once cooked, use two forks to shred the chicken into the sauce, mixing well.
  7. Add the sour cream and stir until the sauce is creamy and smooth.
  8. Before serving, top with shredded cheddar cheese and freshly chopped parsley if desired.
