Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 125 g sopressa salami, thinly sliced You can substitute with your favorite cured meats.
  • 75 g provolone cheese, grated Can also use mozzarella for a milder flavor.
  • 2–3 sheets puff pastry, thawed Ensure completely thawed for best rolling.
  • 1 each egg, beaten well For egg wash.
  • 1/3 cup pizza sauce Use more or less depending on preference.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. Place one sheet of thawed puff pastry on a clean chopping board.
  3. Spread 1–2 tablespoons of pizza sauce over the pastry, leaving about a 1/2 inch border along both long edges.
  4. Lay 3-4 slices of sopressa salami across the sauce, followed by a generous amount of grated provolone cheese.
  5. Starting from one of the long edges, roll the pastry up tightly into a log.
  6. Use a sharp knife to cut the roll into scrolls about 3/4 inch (2 cm) thick.
  7. Place each scroll flat on a non-stick baking tray.
  8. Brush the sides lightly with the beaten egg wash.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
  2. Allow the scrolls to cool slightly on a wire rack before serving.
