Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).
- Place one sheet of thawed puff pastry on a clean chopping board.
- Spread 1–2 tablespoons of pizza sauce over the pastry, leaving about a 1/2 inch border along both long edges.
- Lay 3-4 slices of sopressa salami across the sauce, followed by a generous amount of grated provolone cheese.
- Starting from one of the long edges, roll the pastry up tightly into a log.
- Use a sharp knife to cut the roll into scrolls about 3/4 inch (2 cm) thick.
- Place each scroll flat on a non-stick baking tray.
- Brush the sides lightly with the beaten egg wash.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
- Allow the scrolls to cool slightly on a wire rack before serving.
