Base Ingredients
  • 32 pieces saltine crackers Can substitute with graham crackers.
  • 1 cup butter Unsalted preferred for controlled flavor.
  • 1 cup brown sugar Packed tightly.
Topping Ingredients
  • 2 cups chocolate chips Semisweet or dark chocolate recommended.
  • 1/2 cup peanuts Chopped. Can substitute with almonds or walnuts.
  • 1/2 cup broken pretzels Use your favorite type.
  • to taste sprinkles Optional, for decoration.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400ºF.
  2. Line a 9×13-inch baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  3. Arrange saltine crackers in rows to cover the entire sheet. Set aside.
Cooking
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine butter and brown sugar. Heat over medium, stirring continuously until it boils and reaches 275ºF.
  2. Carefully pour the hot mixture over the arranged saltine crackers.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 4 minutes, then turn off the oven.
  4. Remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the top.
  5. Return the pan to the warm oven for 1 minute to let the chocolate melt.
  6. After a minute, using a spatula, spread the melted chocolate evenly.
  7. Top with peanuts, broken pretzels, and a sprinkle of fun sprinkles.
  8. Allow to cool and let the chocolate harden.
  9. Break into pieces and enjoy!
