Method
Cooking the Noodles
- Cook egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Preparing the Bacon and Vegetables
- In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon with a slotted spoon and set aside, leaving the bacon drippings in the skillet.
- Add the chopped onion to the skillet and sauté until translucent and fragrant.
- Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet. Cook until the cabbage is tender and slightly caramelized, stirring occasionally. This will take about 15 minutes.
Combining Ingredients
- Add the cooked egg noodles and bacon to the skillet with the cabbage. Stir to combine.
- Add the butter and let it melt, coating everything evenly.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
- Serve hot.

Notes
