  • 1 pound Fresh English cucumbers You can use regular cucumbers if preferred.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Used for drawing out excess moisture from cucumbers.
  • 1/3 cup Sour cream You can replace this with a plant-based yogurt for a vegan option.
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice Adjust the amount to your preference for tanginess.
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh dill (chopped) Freshness enhances flavor.
  • 1 pinch Powdered sugar Adds a hint of sweetness.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash the cucumbers thoroughly and peel if desired.
  2. Slice the cucumbers thinly using a mandoline or sharp knife.
  3. Place sliced cucumbers in a colander, sprinkle with salt, and let rest for about 10 minutes.
  4. In a small bowl, mix sour cream, lemon juice, dill, powdered sugar, and black pepper until smooth.
  5. After resting, squeeze excess water from cucumbers.
  6. Combine drained cucumbers with the dressing in a mixing bowl and toss to coat.
  7. Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes.
